These handmade traditional shrunken heads are made by the Amazonian Jivaro tribe in South America. They are made using natural resources; real animal flesh. The Jivaro tribe catch their prey “bush meat” for food and use the hides to create these shrunken heads. They may be made from rodent, goat or even monkey flesh so in effect they are real leather with real animal hair which adds to their mysteriousness and traditional look.
